About the Recipe

Homemade Milk with all the flavour and none of the fillers. This is delicious.

Ingredients

1 cup of raw almonds


2 cups of water


Sweetner to taste if required, I never bother but you can use honey or maple syrup.

Preparation

Step 1


The day before you plan on making your milk soak your raw almonds in water overnight. This helps to make the milk creamy and softens the almonds.


Step 2


The day after soaking, rinse your almonds and discard the water.


Step 3


In a blender, put the 1 cup of almonds and 2 cups of filtered water and blend. Add in the sweetner if you desire.


Step 4


If you have a muslin or milk bag pour the liqiud through the milk bag and squeeze to release the milk. If you dont have a milk bag use a clean tea towel.


Step 5


Place your milk into a container or jar and store in the fridge for up to 3 days, enjoy!
